About The Position

Finix is looking to own, expand and deepen our VC Partnerships. You will be the face of Finix within the startup ecosystem, including accelerators, venture capital firms and founders. Finix is building the global operating system for fintech, starting with payments. From startups to publicly traded companies, Finix processes tens of billions of dollars annually both in-store and online. Finix was founded in 2015 and is headquartered in San Francisco. To date Finix has raised over $200M, including a $75M Series C led by Acrew Capital and Lightspeed Venture Partners and backed by American Express Ventures, Bain Capital Ventures, Homebrew, Inspired Capital, Visa, and others.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, or similar roles
Prefers building authentic relationships over transactional one-off wins
Extremely self-motivated extrovert who loves to hustle
Experience working closely with the leading Silicon Valley companies and venture capital firms at senior levels
Strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to speak to different constituencies such as finance, business development, product, engineering, and sales internally and externally.
Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty and ambiguity.
Deep fluency in the VC ecosystem, you know the key players, how funds work, and where the interesting deals are happening
Comfortable evangelizing Finix to founders and investors with enough product depth to be credible

Responsibilities

Own partnerships with startup accelerators, incubators, and startup community leaders (ex. YC, Techstars, etc) to embed Finix as the preferred payments solution for their cohorts
Define and Execute a repeatable GTM strategy that identifies and targets top startups through various top-of-funnel activities
Create and maintain a strategic account plan for key ecosystem relationships with clear success metrics to drive adoption across VC portfolios
Plan and execute memorable events targeting founders and investors (demo days, conferences, hosted dinners) and own the follow-through
Actively hunt for new partnership opportunities within Silicon Valley at events, investor conferences, and networking forums
Establish and cultivate strong relationships with senior executives within our partners’ organizations
Operate in a fast-paced environment, juggling priorities of multiple internal and external constituencies
Coordinate with marketing on event promotion, content creation, and follow-up campaigns
