Our ultimate goal is to connect people with high-quality and meaningful stories on Apple TV while building awareness and love for the brand. We approach every aspect of our campaigns, from strategic vision to creative execution, with innovation and excellence in mind, ensuring that every touchpoint is thoughtfully designed. Our highly collaborative team works closely with teams across Apple, as well as with agencies, studios, and talent to generate buzz, establish cultural resonance, and increase viewership of Apple TV content. We're seeking a Head of Social Media to lead our social presence across platforms and build meaningful connections between our audience and the unique stories that define Apple TV. As Apple TV’s Head of Social Media, you will architect and execute a comprehensive social strategy that elevates both our brand presence and individual title campaigns across all major social platforms. We’re seeking a visionary leader who can translate Apple's commitment to innovation and quality into compelling social narratives that capture attention, spark conversation, and build lasting audience relationships. You'll guide a talented team in creating content that promotes our programming and establishes Apple TV as an essential entertainment destination, building passionate fandoms and driving meaningful audience engagement.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of progressive experience in social media marketing, digital strategy, brand management, and/or editorial leadership in the entertainment, streaming, broadcast, and/or film industry.
  • 3+ years leading and scaling social media teams in complex, fast-paced environments.
  • Proven track record managing social presence(s) for globally recognized brands across multiple platforms.
  • Experience with content management systems, publishing workflows, and social analytics platforms.
  • Demonstrated portfolio of successful social media campaigns and content examples that achieved both cultural impact and business results.
  • Proven success in social storytelling across all formats - from written narratives and visual compositions to compelling short-form and vertical video.
  • Experience managing global social strategies with localized content execution across multiple markets and languages.
  • Experience with real-time social content execution for live events, premieres, and cultural moments.
  • Expertise with platform-specific entertainment tools.
  • Track record of successful awards season social campaigns.
  • Experience navigating entertainment industry crisis communications and controversial content.
  • Demonstrated expertise partnering directly with talent, influencers, creators, and representation to drive successful outcomes.
  • Exceptional leadership capabilities with proven ability to inspire creativity while driving operational rigor.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy that amplifies the Apple TV brand while driving discovery, engagement, and streaming conversion for our original content.
  • Lead the creation of innovative content formats and editorial approaches that maximize reach, cultural impact, and audience connection across all social platforms, including platform-specific entertainment tools (e.g., Instagram Live, TikTok watch parties, YouTube premieres).
  • Architect a dynamic editorial calendar balancing planned campaigns with real-time cultural responsiveness.
  • Partner with talent, representation, and production teams to coordinate social presence, develop collaborative content, and maximize promotional opportunities.
  • Orchestrate real-time social strategies for premieres, finales, and awards campaigns, ensuring Apple TV captures and creates cultural moments.
  • Build and nurture passionate fan communities around tentpole series and franchises, developing strategies for fandom engagement and cultivation.
  • Partner with Marketing Communications, Publicity, PR, and Production teams to ensure integrated campaign messaging and maximize promotional opportunities.
  • Define KPI and success metrics and implement data-driven optimization strategies that balance brand building with viewing outcomes.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing, multi-disciplinary team of social media professionals.
