The Head of Service Development will support partners in driving profitable growth by developing annual and 3-year plans, identifying performance improvement opportunities, and refining partner ways of working to ensure high-quality, patient-focused care. The role involves close collaboration with Ophthalmology Joint Venture (OJV) partners, providing strategic guidance to help them achieve their business goals.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a vital conduit between OJV partners and the support office, understanding their specific needs and working with them to drive business growth and profit and deliver exceptional patient care.
  • Ensure engagement and follow-through on the annual plan.
  • Partner with approximately five OJV businesses in the South division to develop and implement 3-year growth plans.
  • Identify opportunities for performance improvement, such as launching new treatments, incremental gains, performance analysis, location strategy, and cost management.
  • Travel to OJVs in the division regularly and be based in the local area.
  • Work with partners to develop growth plans for new service openings.
  • Support partners in delivering a 'Newmedica standard' approach to patient pathways, ensuring high standards of patient care and efficiency.
  • Lead and support the implementation of change projects, sharing best practices and knowledge across the organization.
  • Focus on business improvement and protecting the brand.
  • Handle relationship management, manage conflict, and deal with challenging situations, ensuring partners work together and share best practices.
