About The Position

Renovation Church is seeking a Head of School to provide vision, leadership, and oversight for the Renovation School of Ministry. This role is responsible for creating an exceptional educational and discipleship experience by overseeing curriculum, mentoring students, coordinating ministry experiences, equipping instructors, and ensuring the program fulfills its mission of raising up and equipping leaders for impactful, lifelong ministry at Renovation Church. The Head of School serves as both a leader and shepherd, investing in students spiritually while building a high-quality ministry training program that prepares them for a lifetime of faithful ministry.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Bible, theology, ministry, education, or a related field.
  • Experience teaching or developing educational curriculum.
  • Experience leading volunteers, interns, or ministry residents.
  • Experience coaching or mentoring emerging leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Champion the vision and culture of the Renovation School of Ministry.
  • Provide strategic leadership for the ongoing development and improvement of the two-year program.
  • Evaluate and refine curriculum, learning outcomes, and ministry experiences.
  • Develop annual calendars, schedules, and program initiatives.
  • Shepherd and disciple students throughout the program.
  • Monitor each student's spiritual, personal, and leadership development.
  • Meet regularly with students for coaching, encouragement, and accountability.
  • Coordinate student recruitment, interviews, admissions, and graduation.
  • Oversee all course content to ensure biblical faithfulness and ministry effectiveness.
  • Recruit, schedule, and equip guest instructors and church staff to teach.
  • Teach classes as assigned.
  • Evaluate student progress through assignments, discussions, and practical ministry experience.
  • Coordinate ministry placements with church ministry leaders.
  • Ensure students receive meaningful hands-on ministry experience.
  • Partner with ministry leaders to provide coaching, feedback, and evaluation.
  • Help students discover and develop their ministry calling and gifting.
  • Develop and oversee a clear pathway for commissioning graduates into ministry leadership opportunities within Renovation Church.
  • Recruit, train, and support spiritual mentors and ministry mentors.
  • Establish clear expectations and rhythms for mentoring relationships.
  • Monitor the health and effectiveness of the mentorship experience.
  • Manage enrollment, attendance, assignments, and student records.
  • Develop and maintain the annual program budget.
  • Coordinate communication with students, instructors, mentors, and ministry leaders.
  • Plan orientations, leadership events, and graduation ceremonies.
  • Track graduate placement, ongoing ministry involvement, and long-term leadership development to evaluate the effectiveness of the School of Ministry.
  • Oversee Bible Classes Ministry.
  • Develop and refine Bible Class curriculum for all classes.
  • Effectively recruit, train, and equip volunteer teachers for each class.
