Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience leading safety programs in industrial, aerospace, manufacturing, defense, or other high-hazard environments.
  • Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and industrial safety practices.
  • Experience leading incident investigations and implementing corrective actions.
  • Experience managing employee training and compliance programs.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting aerospace operations, propulsion systems, energetics, or high-energy test environments.
  • Familiarity with hazardous materials handling and operational risk management.
  • Experience scaling safety systems within fast-growing technical organizations.
  • OSHA certifications or related professional safety certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead company-wide safety operations across office, manufacturing, laboratory, warehouse, and test environments.
  • Develop and maintain safety programs, operational procedures, and compliance systems.
  • Oversee employee onboarding, recurring training programs, and certification tracking.
  • Lead incident reporting, investigations, and corrective action implementation.
  • Conduct facility inspections, operational audits, and hazard assessments.
  • Manage occupational health programs including respirator fit testing, pulmonary function testing, and hearing conservation.
  • Partner with engineering and manufacturing teams to support high-risk operations involving propulsion systems, energetics, hazardous materials, and test activities.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and applicable federal, state, and local safety regulations.
  • Support emergency preparedness planning and emergency response coordination.
