About The Position

The Head of Program Delivery is a defining leadership role, accountable for building the capability that ensures SimCorp's most significant client programs are delivered with consistency, credibility, and momentum. SimCorp's client engagements span multiple product domains, engineering teams, and commercial stakeholders and they are only growing in scale. The need for a dedicated, highly capable program delivery function has never been greater. This role establishes that function from the ground up: developing a team of Program Delivery Leads, setting the standard for how programs are run, and personally leading delivery on the most strategically significant engagements. Reporting to the Head of Strategic Product Enablement, this role ensures that SimCorp has a repeatable, scalable model for delivering multi-product client programs, Program Delivery Leads are developed, supported, and held to a consistent standard of excellence, the most critical client engagements have direct senior leadership and accountability, and clients experience SimCorp as a coordinated, professional partner, regardless of which team or product domain they are engaging with. The outcome is a program delivery function that scales with SimCorp's ambitions — one that clients trust, internal teams respect, and the business can rely on.

Requirements

  • 8+ years in enterprise software delivery, with at least 3 in a leadership role managing program managers or delivery leads in enterprise B2B environments.
  • Demonstrated success building or scaling a program delivery function, with experience developing talent and elevating team performance.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead client-facing programs at senior levels, with the credibility to engage executive stakeholders on both sides.
  • Solid understanding of financial markets and the institutional investment management landscape, including how buy-side firms operate across front, middle, and back office.
  • Direct experience delivering financial software to institutional clients, with a working grasp of the architectural and operational realities involved (data, workflows, integrations, release cycles).
  • Familiarity with how modern software development works: agile, engineering tradeoffs, and the dynamics between product, engineering, and delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Build, develop, and lead a team of Program Delivery Leads, establishing a high-performance culture grounded in clear ownership, craft, and client focus.
  • Define and continuously refine how programs are run at SimCorp, including delivery cadences, core artifacts, escalation paths, and standards for internal and client communication.
  • Create the conditions for your team to do their best work: clear expectations, effective coaching, and the support and organizational backing to operate with confidence.
  • Act as the escalation point for your team on difficult delivery challenges, helping them navigate ambiguity and make sound judgments when stakes are high.
  • Personally lead delivery on SimCorp's most strategically significant client programs, modelling the standard you set for your team.
  • Serve as the senior point of accountability for program coordination across product, engineering, and commercial workstreams on flagship engagements.
  • Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders, translating between technical and commercial audiences and ensuring they have a consistent, credible view of program status, tradeoffs, and timelines throughout the program lifecycle.
  • Serve as the senior SimCorp relationship owner for flagship client programs, ensuring clients experience SimCorp as a single, coordinated partner across product domains.
  • Establish the operating rhythm with client stakeholders: steering committees, executive check-ins, and escalation forums that build trust over the life of the program.
  • Maintain visibility across all active programs, identifying systemic risks and patterns that individual leads may not see from their vantage point.
  • Exercise sound judgment on when to step in and when to let your team lead, building their capability while protecting program and client outcomes.
  • Lead decision-making forums at the program and portfolio level, framing tradeoffs clearly and building alignment across internal and client stakeholders.
  • Own the operational framework for program delivery: the reporting structures, tooling, templates, and quality standards.
  • Maintain a portfolio-level view of program health, giving leadership visibility across all active engagements.
  • Continuously improve delivery practices based on what is actually happening across programs, turning experience into repeatable standards.
