About The Position

Martin-Baker America is seeking an experienced Head of Production Control. Our Head of Production Control will be responsible for Master Scheduling, Sales & Operations Planning, Production & Materials Planning, and Production Risk Management. This individual will collaborate with production, quality, engineering, and purchasing teams to help navigate the complex challenges of aerospace manufacturing operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 10 years of experience or 12 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • ERP/MRP experience
  • 3 years in people leadership

Nice To Haves

  • ASCM (APICS) CPIM or CSCP certification
  • Experience in Aerospace/defense manufacturing
  • SAP/S4 HANA
  • Lean/Six Sigma

Responsibilities

  • Master scheduling, finite planning, forward scheduling, and simulation of schedule changes
  • Strong S&OP contribution, including capacity analysis, scenario planning, and inventory implications
  • Ability to manage material shortages, backlog reduction, aging throughput, and schedule adherence
  • Deep proficiency with MRP systems, exception message management, MRP areas, and work order execution.
  • Ability to guide team members on system best practices, make/buy analysis, and system enhancement opportunities
  • Effective partnership with Production, Quality, Engineering, Purchasing, Master Data, Finance, and Inventory Control
  • Strong communication of schedule impacts, constraint risks, inventory policy implications, and prioritization needs (including DPAS‑rated orders)
  • Forward‑looking capacity planning across labor, equipment, tooling, and material constraints
  • Ability to identify risks, develop mitigation plans, and align production activity with organizational goals
  • Experience improving utilization and monitoring efficiency within production work cells
  • Coaching, mentoring, performance reviews, and skill development.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Ability to align daily execution with company mission, vision, and long-term production strategy
  • Understanding of BOM validation, routers, subcontracting, production versions, scrap/rework impacts, and MRB processes
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills and comfort with data-driven decision making
  • Proficiency in planning concepts such as line-of-balance, safety stock strategies (dynamic/static), and inventory policy impacts
