About The Position

The Head of Product Management North America will manage the North American Product Management team as well as collaborate with the global Product Management team to advance and support the company’s product development strategies. · Steer discussions, drive decisions and coordinate solutions with a big picture overview and understanding while communicating into the global product management group. · Understand the global needs, point out the differences between the subsidiaries and review and execute global proposals and strategies. · Support and train the NA located PM group and drive the NA PM personal development. Create rhythm for daily Product Management work. Motivate and drive cluster teams. · Moderate discussions in the clusters and organize opinions and decisions. · Ensure quality, process and template compliance within Product Management. Communicate best practices and ensure a consistent approach across clusters. · Help to organize CLT PM meetings: ensuring timely completion of roadmap tasks, quality check and effective implementation of the global strategy and product proposals, keeping track of committed topics and ensure a common interpretation of results and decisions. · Coordinate new overlapping product topics (e.g. “outdoor cluster”) until these are assigned to existing product clusters and manage new product areas (e.g. entrance matt) which cannot directly be aligned to the existing product portfolio. · Contact person if somebody from other departments has an issue with Product Management. Moderate and solve problems as a first escalation instance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferred, in Business Management or related field
  • PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum Master, or equivalent
  • 10+ years in project/program management, with 5+ years in a leadership role
  • A track record of delivering large-scale, complex projects on time and on budget
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and working in matrix organizations
  • Deep project management methodologies and portfolio management knowledge
  • Strong cross-cultural communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and an analytical mindset
  • Positive and personable attitude with a desire to learn
  • Organized self-starter with an attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, both in person and remote
  • Skilled at managing a team
  • Skilled at working effectively with cross-functional teams and all levels of management
  • Skilled at developing and executing strategies across the entire portfolio
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
  • Ability to travel nationally and internationally
  • Willing to relocate to requested region
