About The Position

Navan is seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial Head of Private Equity Partnerships to establish and lead its PE channel from inception. This role reports directly to the Global Head of Partnerships and is a unique opportunity for a seasoned professional to own the entire partnership lifecycle. The ideal candidate is a builder with a strong network in the PE ecosystem, eager to make Navan the preferred solution for leading investment firms.

Requirements

  • 5–8+ years of experience in Private Equity, private banking, or investment banking.
  • Proven track record of over-performance in partnership go-to-market strategies.
  • Existing, functional relationships within the Private Equity community, including Operating Partners.
  • Understanding of the PE investment lifecycle, including carve-outs and tuck-in integrations.
  • Ability to thrive in the 'messy middle' of program building and possess executive presence.
  • Discipline in handling partnership administration, including lead flow tracking, CRM data updates, and follow-through.
  • Comfortable presenting to C-level stakeholders.
  • Ability to write a playbook rather than waiting for one.

Responsibilities

  • Own the 0-to-1 Build: Develop the PE playbook, including fund mapping, value proposition definition, tracking systems, collateral, and internal processes.
  • Drive Tactical Deal Influence: Participate in forecast calls, collaborate with Sales teams on active deals, identify and resolve blockers, and leverage PE relationships for top-down influence.
  • Master the "Give-to-Get" Ecosystem: Build relationships with PE firms and M&A advisory firms to partner on carve-outs and new acquisitions, ensuring Navan is the primary choice for immediate spend visibility.
  • Be the Face of Navan PE: Represent Navan at industry events and PE Operating Partner roundtables, presenting to C-level stakeholders to scale brand awareness.
  • Operationalize the Channel: Create resources, manage administrative tasks, maintain CRM hygiene, and build decks to institutionalize partnerships.
  • Prove EBITDA Value: Collaborate with PE Operating Partners to demonstrate how Navan's platform contributes to value creation plans through cost savings and operational efficiency.
