About The Position

Probably Genetic is seeking a Head of Partnerships & Alliances to lead biopharma and biotech client relationships end-to-end. This role involves owning deal coordination and evolving the commercial infrastructure to facilitate data access and co-development deals from initial contact to closure. The company is focused on changing the lives of patients with severe, complex diseases through a data platform that identifies undiagnosed patients, analyzes their disease state, and enables compliant communication. Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience, including a significant period in strategy consulting.
  • Proven ability to structure ambiguous problems and build frameworks from scratch.
  • Demonstrated track record of hands-on work, including drafting documents, managing CRM, and coordinating stakeholders without direct support.
  • Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects with long timelines and dynamic elements.
  • Comfort in owning commercial documents end-to-end, including drafting, iterating, and tracking negotiations.
  • Clear, structured communication skills for synthesizing complex deal statuses and representing the organization externally.
  • Familiarity with the operations of pharmaceutical and biotech business development, alliance management, or procurement functions.
  • Empathy and a patient-focused mindset.
  • Comfort in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with rapid change.
  • Action-oriented and motivated to build a company from the ground up.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in rare or genetic diseases, genomics, or precision medicine data.
  • Exposure to patient registry or real-world data products.
  • Direct experience closing data access deals or developing royalty-/milestone-based co-development term sheets.
  • Prior experience at a startup or in a role building entire commercial infrastructures from scratch.

Responsibilities

  • Own the data access and co-development pipeline, including setting cadences, running calls, drafting follow-ups, and ensuring client conversations progress.
  • Develop a scalable, repeatable deal coordination playbook for data access and co-development deals.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for biopharma and biotech partners, ensuring smooth communication and follow-through between senior-level interactions.
  • Design and execute partner-facing education programs to explain the company's data, patient cohort capabilities, and co-development model.
  • Build and maintain the commercial infrastructure, including pricing documentation, access term frameworks, deal templates, and onboarding materials.
  • Maintain CRM hygiene by logging interactions, tracking deal stages, identifying risks, and preparing briefing materials for senior meetings.
  • Coordinate the preparation of data packages tailored to specific partner indications and cohort priorities, collaborating cross-functionally.
  • Support the drafting of Statements of Work (SOWs) and data access agreements by organizing templates, tracking redlines, and managing version control during negotiations.
