Head of Operator Engagement

Ensemble Health Partners•Austin, TX
•Onsite

About The Position

The Head of Operator Engagement is the bridge between Orchestration Works and Ensemble Operations and owns the validation engine that supports the 120-day commitment. This role ensures initiatives are anchored by a committed Operations leader and validated by front-line teammates using real work. The position leads a permanent team of eight Manager-to-AVP revenue cycle domain experts across front end, back end, underpayments and contracts, clinical, and coding, and oversees validation logistics across the portfolio. The role also oversees the post-handoff phase: coordinating pod members as they return to their home organizations as Adoption Champions and tracking utilization, training, and realized ROI through Control Tower. The position is on-site in Austin, Texas. Candidates must currently reside in the Austin area or be willing to relocate; relocation assistance may be available to eligible candidates.

  • Proven experience integrating technology into live healthcare operations, including workflow redesign and change management.
  • Experience embedding operational SMEs into agile or pod-based delivery models.
  • Familiarity with AI-driven innovation in healthcare, such as automation, machine learning, analytics, or decision-support systems.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare compliance, regulatory considerations, and data governance.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder-influencing skills, including with senior operations executives.
  • Must currently reside in the Austin area or be willing to relocate.
  • Must reside and be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience leading or supporting healthcare technology pilots or innovation programs.
  • Direct exposure to AI-enabled revenue cycle tools or automation platforms.
  • Experience running adoption, training, or change programs at scale.
  • MBA, MHA, or an advanced degree in healthcare, business, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Secure and sustain Operations leader-of-record commitments and committed front-line teammates for each initiative; initiatives without committed Operations participation do not enter the portfolio.
  • Lead and develop the eight Manager-to-AVP revenue cycle domain experts embedded in Orchestration Works.
  • Coordinate real-user validation across shadow mode, parallel mode, and controlled production mode, capturing quantitative outcomes against baseline and qualitative operator feedback.
  • Ensure every pod includes Operations SMEs and an Operations Data Analyst as full members, coordinating secondments with home organizations.
  • Coordinate pod members returning to home organizations as Adoption Champions with six- to twelve-month commitments.
  • Own tracking of utilization, training, and realized ROI, reported through Control Tower.
  • Drive continuous feedback between front-line operations and pod teams so solutions are refined against operational reality.
  • Represent operational readiness and adoption risk in portfolio gate reviews.

Benefits

  • Comprehensive benefits package, including healthcare, time off, retirement, and well-being programs.
  • Professional development and a professional certification relevant to the associate’s field.
  • Tuition reimbursement.
