Head of Operations

Kinstead•New York City, NY
•Onsite

About The Position

Kinstead helps nurse practitioners launch and run independent practices by replacing fragmented, manual healthcare infrastructure with a single, intelligent system. The Head of Operations owns Kinstead’s operations end to end: the systems that take an NP from signed contract to a live, paid, growing practice and keep it running. This is a hands-on role involving designing operational processes and managing them day to day. The role reports to the COO and works closely with the CEO, leads an Ops Specialist, and manages vendors responsible for credentialing, billing, and front desk operations. The role covers practice launches, credentialing and licensure, revenue cycle, vendor management, clinical operations, business reporting, and NP escalations. The target practice-launch pace is five to six launches per month, with a goal of getting new practices live in 60 days. During the first 90 days, the Head of Operations will take over current operational escalations and map workflows, address key process gaps, establish vendor scorecards and SLAs, improve tracking and launch processes, and deliver monthly operations and financial reporting so founders can step back from day-to-day operations.

  • Hands-on experience with healthcare operations such as credentialing, payer enrollment, revenue cycle, or practice launch.

  • Fluency with AI tools and sound judgment about when their output is incorrect.
  • Comfort with shifting priorities and a changing operating environment.
