About The Position

Bedrock Robotics is seeking a Head of Operations Planning and Special Projects to build and own the integrated operational planning function as the company scales its autonomous systems across more machines, partners, and sites, while introducing new machine types and a next-generation platform. The role aligns cross-functional plans for machines, product lines, field headcount, and materials so the business can understand what is needed and when. The position owns integrated machine planning, scenario planning, cross-functional constraint resolution, workforce scaling plans, and implementation of an early Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process. It partners closely with the VP of Operations and Operations Leads, as well as Commercial, Finance, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Contract Manufacturing. The role also establishes operational metrics and review cadences, coordinates production and transition plans, and provides rigorous analysis to inform senior leadership and board-level decisions. It reports to the VP of Operations.

Requirements

8–10 years of experience in operations, planning, or program leadership.
At least 5 years working with cross-functional teams distributed across sites or regions.
Demonstrated ability to influence leaders, align cross-functional stakeholders, drive difficult decisions, and manage risk through rapid growth.
Track record implementing S&OP or supply-and-demand processes that clarify requirements, decisions, and success criteria.
Experience planning and managing hourly or field workforce headcount.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to turn data into operational decisions.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including communication with executives.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with autonomy, heavy machinery, and/or the construction industry.
Experience establishing supply-and-demand review processes that clarify timelines, requirements, decisions, risks, and solutions.
Continuous improvement, Lean, or Six Sigma experience, including establishing an improvement program.

Responsibilities

Own the integrated operations plan covering requirements across product lines, machines, field headcount, and material readiness.
Identify plan constraints and develop scenarios that resolve them or establish acceptable alternatives.
Partner with Operations leaders to identify optimizations, risks, and constraints and develop mitigation paths.
Provide clear, rigorous analysis to support senior leadership and board-level decisions.
Partner with the VP of Operations to define team OKRs, tracking mechanisms, and routine reporting on critical initiatives.
Contribute to the long-term forecast by integrating priorities across teams.
Align data collection needs with operational optimizations to strengthen data pipelines.
Develop stage-appropriate S&OP processes with Commercial, Finance, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Operations.
Own the monthly S&OP cycle, including forecast development, demand review inputs, forecast analysis, supply plan integration, pre-meeting coordination, and reporting.
Forecast demand, assess whether projected supply can meet it, and define performance metrics such as forecast accuracy and fulfillment rate.
Bridge business strategy, engineering build plans, finance, and supply chain execution.
Own phase-in and phase-out planning for machine types, product lines, partners, sites, and hardware generations, including availability, supply constraints, retrofits, and partner transitions.
Track lead times and align stakeholders on critical decision timelines and order dates.
Work with Operations leaders to plan labor availability using key ratios and operational planning drivers.
Partner with Supply Chain and Contract Manufacturing to plan production capacity against demand, consolidate risks, and drive prioritization when supply is constrained.
Develop core operational metrics and routine reporting.
Run operational review cadences that drive accountability and surface key business insights.
Support continuous improvement across Operations through process and data.
