About The Position

Helpside has been supporting small to medium-sized businesses for over 30 years by providing Payroll, HR, Workers’ Compensation, and Benefits solutions. Their goal is to enable clients to grow their businesses without the burden of employee administration. They are seeking a player-coach marketing leader to establish and lead their marketing function. This role will report to the COO and collaborate with sales and operational leadership to define and implement the go-to-market strategy, while also building a high-performing team focused on product marketing, customer marketing/referrals, and demand generation.

Requirements

  • 8-12+ years in B2B marketing focused on SMB buyers.
  • Proficiency in using AI to improve work processes, speed, and decision-making.
  • Strategic thinking about markets and industries, with experience developing go-to-market strategies for different verticals and tailoring messaging to specific audiences.
  • Comfort with key performance metrics such as pipeline, conversion rates, CAC, LTV, and payback period, and the ability to connect marketing performance to revenue.
  • A builder mentality focused on launching campaigns, learning from results, and prioritizing outcomes over activity.
  • Collaborative approach, working closely with sales and product teams to align priorities and enhance results.
  • Hands-on execution, including writing copy and building campaigns.

Responsibilities

  • Build a scalable demand engine by developing state- and vertical-specific marketing programs to generate qualified pipeline through targeted campaigns, compelling content, optimized landing pages, and outbound initiatives.
  • Accelerate broker channel growth by creating marketing strategies and enablement programs, including sales collateral, co-marketing campaigns, and channel enablement.
  • Develop customer marketing and referral programs, including referral programs, case studies, advocacy initiatives, and NPS-driven outreach, to leverage satisfied customers for growth.
