Head of Marketing

Anvil RoboticsTaipei, CA

About The Position

Anvil is seeking a Head of Marketing to own a $1.5–2M growth budget and an existing content engine, with the primary goal of transforming them into a scalable, repeatable revenue machine. Anvil is a company building the platform layer for Physical AI, offering robotics hardware and software that are significantly more accessible than traditional industrial solutions. The company has experienced rapid growth, raising $7M in total funding and achieving over $2.1M in revenue in its first 12 months with strong gross margins, which are reinvested into growth. The product-market fit is exceptionally strong, evidenced by purchases from industry leaders and researchers, and a default adoption by YC-funded robotics companies. Demand spans from F100 companies to pre-seed startups across numerous countries, with no single account being critical to the business. This role is for someone who can take existing capital, traction, and assets and scale them intelligently and rapidly. The average order value is approximately $13,000, and customers often purchase without a formal PO due to the significantly lower price point compared to legacy competitors. The company already possesses a robust content production engine (video, written, user-generated content) that the Head of Marketing will direct. Marketing spend is viewed as a growth lever, not a cost to be minimized, and the role will be well-funded if the funnel math proves effective. The Head of Marketing will own the full go-to-market strategy across various channels, funnel construction and instrumentation, capital allocation for the growth budget, and content direction. While the majority of the focus will be on driving traffic, demand, and sales, there is potential to bring on 1-2 contractors or specialists to support execution.

Requirements

  • Think in funnels and unit economics by default.
  • Ability to build a CAC/payback model from scratch.
  • Distinguish between content that drives engagement and content that drives pipeline.
  • Experience deploying real marketing budget, ideally $500K+ annually, with specific examples of allocation and efficiency scaling.
  • Experience marketing or selling to a technical buyer (engineers).
  • Ability to ensure all content (video, ad copy, landing pages) holds up to technical scrutiny.
  • Experience running paid acquisition (Google Ads minimum) and organic/content simultaneously as one integrated system.
  • Proven ability to find and scale a channel from unproven hypothesis to a repeatable, budget-worthy motion quickly.
  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent practical track record.
  • Demonstrated funnel ownership and growth trajectory.

Nice To Haves

  • Background in robotics, hardware, industrial automation, or another deeply technical B2B category with a considered-but-fast purchase cycle.
  • Typically spent 4–6 years in growth/demand-gen marketing, or 2–3 unusually fast-growing ones.
  • Most recent stretch as the trusted right hand to a strong VP/CMO: running the budget, channels, and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Own full go-to-market strategy across LinkedIn, X, Email, and Google Ads, integrated into a single system feeding one pipeline.
  • Construct and instrument the marketing funnel, mapping awareness to consideration to close with real conversion data, and understanding the unique no-PO, high-ACV buying motion.
  • Allocate capital for the growth budget, deciding the mix across paid media, content production, events, and gifting/swag, and proving out what's working.
  • Direct content strategy, deciding what stories to tell, what to film, how to source and use customer UGC, and how to distribute content across channels.
  • Manage 1-2 contractors or part-time specialists as needed to support execution, with the majority of time and budget focused on directly driving traffic, demand, and sales.
