About The Position

The Head of IT Infrastructure and Security is responsible for the strategic leadership, governance, security, compliance, and operational management of DemandScience's global technology environment. This executive leadership role ensures the availability, security, scalability, and effectiveness of all enterprise technology services supporting a global workforce and business operation. The role provides executive ownership of enterprise infrastructure, cybersecurity, technical operations, governance, risk management, compliance, AI governance, service delivery, vendor management, and technology strategy. The position serves as the executive owner for enterprise technology governance, cybersecurity posture, audit readiness, AI governance, business continuity, and technology risk management across the organization. The Head of IT Infrastructure and Security will work closely with executive leadership to ensure technology investments, operational practices, and security controls align with business objectives while maintaining compliance with evolving regulatory, privacy, security, and AI governance requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in enterprise IT, infrastructure, security, or technology operations.
  • 5+ years leading managers, directors, or senior technical leaders within a global organization.
  • Demonstrated experience leading enterprise infrastructure, cybersecurity, governance, compliance, audit, and operational functions.
  • Strong expertise with AWS, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, enterprise SaaS ecosystems, identity management, endpoint management, security operations, and compliance frameworks.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, ITIL, PMP, AWS, or equivalent certifications are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership for all corporate IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, technical operations, end-user computing, collaboration platforms, and enterprise technology services.
  • Develop and execute multi-year technology, security, governance, and operational roadmaps aligned with company objectives.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop senior technology leaders and global IT teams.
  • Own workforce planning, succession planning, performance management, organizational design, and leadership development initiatives.
  • Partner with executive and functional leaders across Product, Engineering, Revenue, Legal, HR, and Finance to support business growth and operational excellence.
  • Own the architecture, availability, performance, security, and lifecycle management of global infrastructure and enterprise technology platforms.
  • Oversee AWS infrastructure, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, enterprise SaaS platforms, and associated integrations.
  • Ensure effective endpoint lifecycle management through platforms including JumpCloud, NinjaOne, CrowdStrike, and related technologies.
  • Establish service management standards, SLAs, KPIs, operational metrics, and continuous improvement programs.
  • Own strategic vendor relationships, contract negotiations, technology procurement, software licensing, and third-party service management.
  • Provide executive leadership and oversight of the Information Security function.
  • Direct governance, risk management, vulnerability management, identity and access management, MFA, Zero Trust initiatives, endpoint security, incident response, and security awareness programs.
  • Maintain compliance and audit readiness for GDPR, CCPA, SOC 2 Type II, SOC 3, and future regulatory and industry requirements.
  • Establish and maintain enterprise security policies, standards, procedures, controls, governance frameworks, and risk management processes.
  • Lead business continuity, disaster recovery, resilience planning, and crisis management programs.
  • Oversee third-party risk management, security assessments, vendor compliance reviews, and remediation programs.
  • Serve as the executive owner for enterprise AI governance and responsible AI adoption.
  • Establish governance frameworks, policies, standards, controls, and risk management processes for the secure and ethical use of Artificial Intelligence technologies.
  • Ensure compliance with emerging AI governance standards, including future ISO 42001 requirements and applicable regulatory obligations.
  • Partner with business leaders to evaluate, govern, and operationalize emerging technologies while balancing innovation, security, compliance, and organizational risk tolerance.
