About The Position

The Head of Information Technology leads the organization's overall IT function, ensuring that technology infrastructure, systems, applications, security, data, and IT services effectively support business and operational objectives. In an Insurance & Investments environment, the role typically covers technology supporting insurance operations, investment management, finance, risk, compliance, customer services, and corporate functions.

Requirements

12–18+ years of progressive IT/technology experience.
5+ years in Head of IT, Head of Information Technology, IT Director, Technology Director, CIO, CTO, or equivalent roles.
Experience in insurance, investment management, asset management, banking, wealth management, or financial services.
Strong knowledge of: IT strategy & governance
Strong knowledge of: IT infrastructure & operations
Strong knowledge of: Enterprise applications
Strong knowledge of: Cloud technology
Strong knowledge of: Cybersecurity & information security
Strong knowledge of: Enterprise architecture
Strong knowledge of: Data & analytics
Strong knowledge of: Digital transformation
Strong knowledge of: IT service management
Strong knowledge of: Technology risk & controls
Strong knowledge of: Business continuity & disaster recovery
Experience managing large IT budgets, vendors, projects, and multidisciplinary teams.
Strong executive stakeholder-management experience.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement the organization's IT strategy and technology roadmap.
Lead enterprise IT operations, infrastructure, applications, networks, cloud, and end-user services.
Manage technology supporting insurance, investment, finance, risk, compliance, and corporate operations.
Oversee cybersecurity, information security, access management, and technology risk.
Establish IT governance, policies, standards, controls, and service-management frameworks.
Lead digital transformation, automation, modernization, and technology optimization.
Manage ERP, CRM, core insurance, investment-management, financial, and other enterprise applications.
Oversee enterprise architecture, databases, APIs, systems integration, and cloud platforms.
Ensure system availability, performance, disaster recovery, business continuity, and resilience.
Lead major IT implementations, migrations, upgrades, integrations, and transformation programs.
Manage IT budgets, vendors, contracts, outsourcing partners, and technology procurement.
Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory, cybersecurity, privacy, and financial-services requirements.
Develop data, reporting, analytics, and business-intelligence capabilities.
Establish KPIs and monitor IT service performance.
Build, lead, and develop high-performing IT teams.
Advise senior management on technology investment, risks, opportunities, and priorities.
