About The Position

HireNow Staffing is partnering with a fast-growing API platform to identify a seasoned, top-tier Head of Growth & Marketing to lead go-to-market strategy during a critical phase of scale. This is a hands-on leadership role for a builder—someone who has created momentum from zero, understands how products spread through real usage, and knows how to turn clarity into sustained growth. This is not a brand-only role. The right candidate will own growth end to end—strategy, execution, experimentation, and results—while working closely with the CEO, product, and engineering teams. The Opportunity The company is entering a defining stage of growth and needs a leader who can create demand, drive adoption, and build durable marketing systems without relying on excessive headcount or rigid playbooks. You will shape how the product is positioned, discovered, adopted, and championed—particularly within technical and developer-forward audiences.

Requirements

  • 3–15 years of experience across growth, marketing, product marketing, or founder/operator roles.
  • Proven experience driving meaningful growth (e.g., 10x users, revenue, engagement, or audience).
  • Background in startup environments (Series A or similar); ex-founders strongly encouraged.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate with high agency —identifying problems, designing solutions, and executing without heavy direction.
  • Experience marketing B2B SaaS, APIs, or developer-first products .
  • Strong analytical instincts and comfort owning metrics, experiments, and outcomes.
  • AI-native mindset with a track record of adapting quickly to new tools and workflows.

Nice To Haves

  • Former founder or early employee who has built growth systems from scratch.
  • Experience scaling early-stage products with limited resources.
  • Personal side projects, independent products, or visible proof of experimentation and initiative.
  • Deep SEO experience for technical, documentation-heavy, or tutorial-driven platforms.
  • Exposure to partnerships, integrations, or ecosystem-led growth strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Go-To-Market & Growth Strategy Define and execute the company's overall growth and marketing strategy across acquisition, activation, and expansion.
  • Establish clear positioning, messaging, and narratives that resonate with technical and product-driven buyers.
  • Translate product capabilities into compelling, adoption-focused value propositions.
  • User Acquisition & Channel Growth Drive top-of-funnel growth through organic, paid, SEO, partnerships, and community-led channels.
  • Demonstrate measurable impact—such as 10x growth in users, revenue, engagement, or audience.
  • Build repeatable growth loops rather than one-off campaigns.
  • Content, Community & Developer Marketing Act as the company's primary storyteller—creating content that educates, builds trust, and drives product usage.
  • Engage directly in relevant communities and ecosystems to build credibility and long-term adoption.
  • Oversee documentation-driven SEO and tutorial-based growth strategies.
  • Product Marketing & Launch Execution Partner closely with product and engineering to plan and execute launches.
  • Influence roadmap discussions by representing user needs, adoption signals, and market feedback.
  • Ensure launches drive real usage, not just visibility.
  • Analytics, Experimentation & AI-Native Execution Define success metrics across the funnel and own performance reporting.
  • Design and run experiments, iterate quickly, and double down on what works.
  • Leverage AI tools and automation to move faster, test more, and operate efficiently.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership Collaborate tightly with the CEO and leadership team as a strategic growth partner.
  • Operate with founder-level ownership, clarity, and accountability.
  • Help evolve the company from early traction to scalable growth without unnecessary process.

Benefits

  • Founder-level impact: You will directly shape how the company grows.
  • Broad ownership: Strategy, execution, experimentation, and results live with you.
  • High trust environment: Minimal bureaucracy, maximum autonomy.
  • Equity upside: Meaningful ownership tied to real impact.
  • Flexible location: Remote-first, with preference for San Francisco or Atlanta.
