About The Position

Sword is seeking a Head of Go-to-Market for AI Care Operations in the US. This leadership role sits at the intersection of product marketing, competitive intelligence, and commercial enablement, reporting to the General Manager. The primary objective is to make Sword's unique value proposition unmistakable in a crowded market. The role involves building the narrative, positioning, and competitive differentiation for AI Care Operations, ensuring the commercial team can effectively communicate this value, and systematically identifying and pursuing market opportunities. The position requires a deep understanding of AI, the healthcare landscape, and the ability to articulate how Sword's AI Care Managers offer a superior solution compared to competitors. The role also involves working closely with sales and customer success teams to enable them to effectively sell and support Sword's solutions.

Requirements

  • 7+ years in product marketing and/or GTM, with clear ownership of positioning and competitive strategy, and current or recent Lead, Head, Director or VP scope.
  • Demonstrated ownership of product marketing and positioning, GTM strategy, and sales, field or revenue enablement.
  • Experience selling to operational buyers (COOs, VPs of operations or care management, contact center leaders) rather than only end users or benefits teams.
  • Evidence of working cross-functionally with sales and customer success.
  • Experience building competitive intelligence from scratch.
  • Based in the US.
  • Builder-level AI proficiency (creates workflows and tools that elevate the whole team), with real examples.
  • Ability to sell something that isn't a product category yet, making the case for replacing work versus adding a tool.
  • First-principles thinking to understand operational problems and how AI agents solve them.
  • Genuine AI fluency, with experience building AI workflows for market intelligence, opportunity canvassing, and competitive research.
  • Ability to understand and honestly explain how AI agents work.
  • Strong writing and clear thinking skills.
  • Experience sitting in on deals and adapting strategy based on buyer feedback.
  • Experience in B2B healthcare software and AI companies with strong commercial engines selling to health systems and payers.
  • Experience in medical device and health technology companies that sell regulated, certified products into providers and payers.
  • Experience in automation and AI companies whose products replace operational work.
  • Experience positioning an AI or automation product that replaces labor and building ROI cases accepted by CFOs.
  • Experience building competitive displacement narratives that demonstrably changed win rates.
  • Experience using AI tooling to drive market canvassing and opportunity identification at scale.
  • Experience with multi-solution, multi-segment GTM, including public sector procurement.

Nice To Haves

  • Currently at, or recently from, a Lead, Head, Director or VP-level GTM or product marketing role where you owned the full stack: launching products, positioning, competitive differentiation, sales enablement and market strategy.
  • Have built things that measurably changed how deals were won.
  • Can tell a clean story across several solutions without it sounding like a platform pitch that means nothing.
  • Materials are the kind a VP of Care Management reads and thinks 'these people have run a care operation.'

Responsibilities

  • Build the narrative, positioning, and competitive differentiation for AI Care Operations.
  • Develop core messaging architecture across Triage and Care Orchestration, tailored by buyer.
  • Create battle cards, ROI frameworks, demos, and proof points to support sales.
  • Enable the commercial team by scoping workflows, explaining agent functionality, and answering questions on safety, integration, and ROI.
  • Systematically identify and pursue market opportunities, including accounts, RFPs, and contract renewals.
  • Partner with segment leaders to ensure opportunities are pursued and won.
  • Develop and maintain buyer-facing materials such as one-pagers, ROI calculators, demo scripts, case studies, and RFP response libraries.
  • Translate deployments into case studies and outcome metrics.
  • Lead a solution specialist team and collaborate with segment sales representatives.
  • Provide sales and customer success enablement, including training and playbooks.
  • Map market opportunities and conduct systematic canvassing.
  • Ensure message consistency across commercial segments and geographies.
  • Act as the voice of the market into product, providing feedback on buyer needs and competitor activities.
