About The Position

GitGuardian is a global cybersecurity scale-up with offices in Paris, New York City, and Boston. The company has secured significant investment from notable figures and firms, including the co-founder of GitHub and top-tier VC firms, having raised its Series C in early 2026. GitGuardian specializes in helping enterprises mitigate credential-based breach risks by identifying and preventing the exposure of secrets across code, systems, and AI. The platform is utilized by over 600,000 developers globally and is a tool for 50 of the Fortune 500 companies. This role is crucial for supporting GitGuardian's growth, as events are identified as one of the top three pipeline engines for the company. The Head of Global Field Marketing will be responsible for the end-to-end management of GitGuardian's global field marketing function, including strategy, team leadership, and pipeline generation. This is a player-coach position, leading a team of three field marketers across North America and EMEA, defining the global event strategy, and being accountable for pipeline targets. The role involves both leadership responsibilities, such as managing the team, budget, and executive reporting, as well as hands-on execution, including running flagship events and coaching BDRs.

Requirements

  • Personally carried and hit a sourced or influenced pipeline number, and fluent in MQL to SQL to opp to pipeline economics
  • Forecasted, tracked, and defended large annual budgets across regions
  • Coached AEs and BDRs on event behavior and follow-up, treating them as partners rather than execution resources
  • Sales-first mindset: optimize for pipeline impact over attendance, and know the difference between activity and impact
  • Hands-on and pragmatic: organize, focus, and implement
  • Grace under pressure and attention to detail: run multiple live events and handle on-site incidents without dropping quality

Nice To Haves

  • Player-coach track record: managed two or more field marketers and developed them while still operating hands-on yourself
  • Can personally run flagship events and are comfortable on-site and in-market
  • US Enterprise experience: will have an F500 focus
  • RevOps and automation tooling: HubSpot, Customer.io, Salesforce, Clay, n8n for event promotion, lead routing, and attribution

Responsibilities

  • Own the global field marketing number to contribute to the overall pipeline goal in 2026 and beyond
  • Build and run a global event program with clear tiering, and a calendar that maps to pipeline rather than activity
  • Lead and develop a team of three field marketers, with each report accountable for their regional number
  • Deliver memorable experiences across all events organized by the team
  • Personally deliver GitGuardian's flagship events
  • Partner with Sales and BDR teams: coach reps on event behavior and follow-ups
  • Forecast, track, and defend a 7-figure annual budget across regions
  • Report to the executive team on pipeline impact with clean attribution
