About The Position

GrizzlyTrek is seeking one Head of Finance to join our valued client's team in Trois-Rivières, Quebec. This is a full-time, permanent leadership position responsible for the financial steering and control of all commercial activities across two manufacturing facilities. As a member of the factory management team, you will lead the finance function in a sustainable manner aligned with broader business objectives, driving performance and profitability. You will report to senior finance leadership and partner closely with the facility General Manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance
  • 8+ years of experience in a product, manufacturing, or similar environment
  • Demonstrated success in strategic planning within a team-oriented environment
  • Proven experience in contract negotiations, supported by strong presentation and communication skills
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities, with a track record of optimizing processes, financial performance, and product development
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and detail-oriented mindset, with a hands-on approach to obtaining key information from teams
  • Proficiency in SAP and MS Office
  • Fluency in French and English, written and spoken
  • A proactive, assertive attitude with a willingness to transfer knowledge

  • CPA designation
  • Experience within the energy or Transmission and Distribution sector

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, motivate, and develop a dedicated finance team
  • Ensure transparent and complete financial performance control across the factory, overseeing all commercial topics while identifying risks and opportunities and implementing measures to optimize business results
  • Prepare periodic gap and deviation analysis reports, including interpretation and follow-through on corrective actions to keep performance aligned
  • Lead the business planning and annual budgeting process, with full ownership of financial forecasting and reporting of business results
  • Oversee asset and liability assessments along with inventory management measures that support financial integrity and operational efficiency
  • Manage the investment plan, performing Actual vs. Plan analyses and ensuring execution and impact tracking of agreed measures
  • Ensure commercial correctness in offers, bids, and contracts, support project execution and customer negotiations, and help build a strong finance team through hiring and development
