About The Position

Rythm is the fastest-growing lab in America, redefining at-home testing with an easy blood test and creating a culture around monthly lab testing from home. They handle everything in-house, from sample testing and logistics to code, marketing, and design, allowing for speed, control, and creativity. The Head of Events & Community will own and build the entire Events & Community function from the ground up, encompassing Events, Community, and Brand Partnerships. This role is crucial for turning a scrappy, early-stage model into a scalable, predictable engine that brings Rythm to life in real life across priority DMAs nationwide, while also guiding a content engine for digital channels. The position sits within the Marketing organization, partnering closely with creative, growth, and creator teams. It requires a blend of strategy and operations, with the ability to design the playbook, manage the team, and be hands-on with event setup. The role emphasizes a flywheel approach where events generate content, content fuels digital channels, and digital drives awareness for future events. Significant travel is expected, with the candidate needing to be comfortable traveling 1-2 weeks per month.

Requirements

  • 7+ years in experiential marketing, events, community, or brand partnerships at a high-growth consumer, health/wellness, or DTC brand.
  • Experience building an events or community program from scrappy to scaled.
  • Operator mindset with the ability to design strategy and execute hands-on tasks.
  • Proven track record of driving measurable acquisition through IRL channels, with demonstrable CAC math.
  • Experience building and managing a distributed field team with clear incentives, content expectations, and performance accountability.
  • Brand partnerships or business development experience, including negotiating and activating deals with proven business results.
  • Strong creative instinct and content sensibility, understanding how IRL translates to social media.
  • Genuine affinity for the health, wellness, endurance, or fitness communities.
  • Extreme comfort with ambiguity and startup pace.
  • Exceptional project management and logistics skills, capable of managing diverse event scales simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Own and execute Rythm’s barbell event strategy, spanning large-scale branded activations and high-frequency community pop-ups.
  • Design activation systems with repeatable kits, mockups, and logistics for various sizing tiers.
  • Oversee event operations end-to-end, including vendor management, permitting, logistics, staffing, run-of-show, on-site testing flow, biohazard compliance, and teardown.
  • Drive measurable subscriber acquisition on-site, optimizing for sign-up volume, on-site test completion, and blended event CAC.
  • Build the event calendar in collaboration with the CEO and marketing team, prioritizing key DMAs and cultural moments.
  • Design, launch, and scale a Community Lead program across priority metros, recruiting and managing on-the-ground brand representatives.
  • Develop and prove out the playbook for Community Leads, including sourcing, onboarding, incentives, content expectations, and performance tracking.
  • Implement a local density strategy to build authentic relationships within influential networks, run clubs, fitness communities, and with micro-influencers.
  • Create a feedback loop between Community Leads and the marketing organization to share on-the-ground insights.
  • Identify, negotiate, and execute brand partnership deals to extend Rythm’s reach into adjacent communities.
  • Establish a Sports Marketing capability to position Rythm as a health-data partner for athletes, teams, and events.
  • Evaluate partnership opportunities based on acquisition, brand, and strategic value.
  • Structure creative deals, manage partnership relationships, ensure activation quality, and track ROI.
  • Treat every event as a content production opportunity, generating photo, video, and UGC for digital channels.
  • Coordinate with the creative team on shot lists, social posting workflows, and content packages.
  • Build the IRL-to-digital flywheel, ensuring content fuels social media and drives event awareness.
  • Develop branded merchandise and activation assets that reinforce Rythm’s visual identity.
