About The Position

UGLYCASH and Reserve are building financial products for creators, freelancers, remote workers, and entrepreneurs, rethinking both the financial experience and the money customers hold and use. UGLYCASH has reached a $5M+ revenue run rate and more than 32,000 monthly active customers in 22 months, starting in Latin America.

The Head of Design will work directly with the founders, engineers, and one other designer across UGLYCASH and Reserve. This is a hands-on role in a lean organization, focused primarily on product design: helping decide what to build, making complex financial ideas easy to understand, and owning the work from early flows and prototypes through polished interfaces, implementation, and iteration. The role also leads brand work, including evolving visual identities, design systems, and how both projects appear in the world. Product and brand are treated as one connected experience.

Requirements

• Demonstrated product-thinking and a track record of shipping products.
• A portfolio showing real products and the decisions behind them, rather than only polished screens.
• Strong visual taste and craft, including attention to interactions, typography, and detail.
• Ability to make products easy to use while giving them a distinctive visual character.
• Resourcefulness and independence, with the ability to prioritize, work through ambiguity, and deliver with little support.
• Judgment to know when to explore and when to ship.
• Practical use of AI to accelerate exploration, prototyping, and execution, and curiosity about how AI can change product experiences.

Responsibilities
