About The Position

Curinos is looking for a skilled and technically strong Head of Data Strategy. Reporting to Curinos Chief Technology, Product & AI Officer, the role focuses on developing and implementing the path towards assembling a comprehensive view of bank customers across consumer, small business, and commercial banking while ensuring strong governance, privacy, and regulatory compliance across all data assets. This will involve combining data from 1st, 2nd, and 3rd party sources and effectively navigating identity management, to support AI-enabled, outcome-focused decision intelligence for banks through our Curinos One platform. The role will also jointly own the strategic data partnership agenda; working with our business incubation team to identify and advance partner relationships that expand Curinos’ data ecosystem, accelerate product innovation, strengthen Curinos One adoption, and create durable commercial advantage.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in data strategy, data architecture, or enterprise data leadership roles.
  • Strong technical expertise in modern cloud data platforms (e.g., Databricks, BigQuery, Snowflake) and data engineering patterns.
  • Deep understanding of the financial services data ecosystem, including banks, payment providers, connectivity platforms (e.g., Plaid), and data vendors.
  • Experience identifying, evaluating, negotiating, or scaling strategic data partnerships, preferably involving third-party financial, consumer, identity, payments, or open banking data assets.
  • Experience working with sensitive financial data, including PII, and implementing identity resolution frameworks.
  • Working knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as GLBA, CCPA, GDPR, and banking supervision expectations related to data and model risk.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML data requirements, feature engineering, and model data pipelines.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills across technical and business audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Define and lead Curinos’ enterprise data strategy, spanning acquisition and connection; aligning with business, product, AI, and platform product roadmaps and objectives.
  • Remove friction from the growth of our data assets by leveraging awareness of data federation, zero-copy access through the latest data technologies such as Databricks, SnowFlake, BigQuery; Open Banking Data protocols and APIs; and key strategic partnerships.
  • Establish best practices for data ingestion, normalization, enrichment, and distribution across complex financial services ecosystems.
  • Partner with Curinos business development and incubation resources to lead a portfolio of strategic data and platform partner opportunities, setting priorities, building executive-level engagement, and translating partner capabilities into product, AI, and commercial growth opportunities.
  • Develop strategic and economic business cases for data partnerships, including data quality, exclusivity, defensibility, integration complexity, regulatory fit, and long-term product applicability.
  • Drive strategy for PII management, identity resolution, and data linkage across customer, internal and third-party datasets.
  • Engage with customers and partners across banks, fintechs, credit bureaus, payment networks, and data providers to shape data acquisition and integration strategies.
  • Ensure alignment with regulatory requirements including data privacy, information security, and model risk management frameworks.
  • Own data governance standards, metadata management, lineage tracking, and data quality frameworks.
  • Collaborate with security and compliance teams to ensure adherence to standards such as GLBA, CCPA, and emerging regulatory expectations.
  • Serve as a thought leader internally and externally on data strategy trends within financial services.
