About The Position

Courtyard is looking for a Head of Creative to define and lead the creative vision of the company. This is a senior leadership role responsible for building a world class creative organization spanning Creative, Content Studio, Social and Brand. You will shape how Courtyard looks, feel, sound and show up across every consumer touchpoint. This includes advertising and product launches to social content, original programming, campaigns, partnerships and cultural moments. We aren’t looking for someone to simply manage creative requests. We’re looking for a creative leader who can establish a point of view, raise the quality bar and build an exceptional team to turn Courtyard into a brand people recognize. This role requires both creative vision and operational leadership. You should be equally comfortable developing a big campaign idea, reviewing a piece of content with a designer or editor, building an organization and production mode and using performance insights to understand what is resonating with our customers. We’re looking for a player-coach, someone who leads from the front, stays close to the work and develops great creative talent. You will inspire the team to do their best work.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of creative experience, including leading multidisciplinary teams at high-growth consumer brands, entertainment, agencies, gaming or culturally relevant technology businesses.
  • A strong portfolio spanning brand campaigns, social content, video and digital work.
  • Proven ability to recruit, lead, develop and inspire high-performing creative teams.
  • Strong understanding of culture, entertainment, creators and how modern consumer brands build relevance.
  • Strong experience and understanding of how User Acquisition / Paid Media works, and can help scale production volume while maintaining quality to fuel our paid campaign.
  • Understand how A/B testing works and can drive strategy leveraging data.
  • Experience developing content and social strategies, including original and recurring formats.
  • Strong understanding of performance marketing and how creative impacts acquisition metrics, conversation rates and overall growth.
  • Ability to balance creative judgment with data and performance insights.
  • Strong communication, collaboration and organizational skills.
  • A high bar for quality paired with a low-ego, hands-on player coach mentality.

Responsibilities

  • Set and own Courtyard’s creative vision across brand, campaigns, content, social, performance marketing and major product / category launches.
  • Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team of designers, editors, producers, creative strategists and content creators.
  • Build and grow Courtyard’s Content Studio, developing original programming, recurring formats, short-form and long-form video, and culturally relevant content.
  • Partner with Growth Marketing to build a high-velocity creative testing engine while maintaining a high creative quality bar.
  • Provide creative leadership for Social, establishing how Courtyard participates in culture and builds an audience.
  • Partner with Brand marketing to translate our positioning and Entertainment Shopping vision into a distinctive and recognizable consumer brand.
  • Develop campaigns and creative ideas around launches, partnerships, creators, events and cultural moments.
  • Establish strong creative processes, feedback loops, workflows and prioritization across a fast moving organization.
  • Be a visible, hands-on leader who communicates proactively, develops talent, provides clear creative feedback and keeps the entire team aligned.
  • Brings ideas proactively rather than waiting for briefs, helping Creative become a strategic driver of brand, culture, audience and growth.

Benefits

  • Comprehensive health insurance packages with dependent coverage
  • Competitive salary with ample opportunities for career advancement and development
  • 401(k) plan with a 4% employer match
  • $100 monthly dogfooding stipend
