We are seeking a strategic, seasoned, and hands-on Director of Corporate Communications to lead and elevate the company’s internal and external communications strategy. This individual will serve as a trusted communications partner to the CEO and senior leadership team, translating business priorities into compelling, consistent, and differentiated communications that strengthen our brand, engage our employees, and enhance our reputation in the marketplace. The ideal candidate is an exceptional writer, strategic thinker, rigorous executor, and confident advisor who can move seamlessly between high-level strategy and deliverable production. This person will bring an understanding of consulting services and/or professional services, a strong business acumen, exceptional executive presence, and the ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear and compelling way.

Requirements

• 10-12+ years of progressive experience in corporate communications, public relations, or corporate / executive communications
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, English, or a related discipline preferred
• Experience in financial services, professional services, investor relations, public relations, agency, activist defense or another complex B2B environment strongly preferred
• Proven experience advising C-suite executives and senior leaders
• Exceptional writing, editing, storytelling, oral, and presentation skills
• Strong business acumen and the ability to quickly understand complex business and industry issues
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute communications strategies from concept through completion
• Excellent judgment, discretion, and ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
• Superior project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with a high degree of autonomy

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute an integrated corporate communications strategy aligned with CEO communications, business objectives, and branding
• Serve as a trusted communications advisor to the CEO and senior leadership team
• Develop a multi-year strategy for the CEO that aligns her skills and brand with the appropriate public speaking, print, and media platforms
• Develop editorial calendars and content strategies that support business development, brand awareness, and thought leadership
• Help define and consistently reinforce the company’s voice, positioning, messaging, and narrative
• Prepare senior leaders for key internal and external communications, presentations, media opportunities, and industry events
• Identify opportunities to elevate executive visibility and thought leadership
• Partner with Marketing, Sales, Research, HR, Operations, and other functions to ensure communications are coordinated and aligned
• Build strong relationships across the organization and serve as a communications resource for leaders and teams
• Establish communication standards, processes, and best practices across the company
• Lead the development of high-quality content that demonstrates the company’s expertise, data-driven perspective, and point of view
• Translate complex business, financial, and industry topics into clear, engaging communications for different audiences
• Collaborate with external partners to identify stories, insights, trends, and perspectives worth amplifying
• Own the company’s internal communications strategy and cadence, ensuring employees are informed, aligned, and engaged
• Develop communications around company priorities, business updates, organizational changes, culture, people initiatives, and major milestones
• Partner closely with HR and senior leadership on employee communications, engagement, culture, and change management
• Support communications for company-wide meetings, events, leadership updates, and other employee-facing initiatives
• Ensure internal communications are timely, transparent, consistent, and aligned with company culture and communication style
• Develop and execute communications strategies that strengthen the company’s reputation and market position
• Partner with Research, Marketing, and Sales to develop compelling external messaging that effectively positions our industry-leading thought leadership
• Oversee corporate announcements, press releases, contributed articles, social content, website messaging, and other external communications
• Identify opportunities for CEO, key executive, and company visibility through industry publications, speaking engagements, events, awards, and other channels
• Maintain consistency across all external communications and brand touchpoints
