About The Position

Anthropic's mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. The content & curriculum team sits at the heart of that mission, aiming to close the gap between AI capabilities and user knowledge. This role involves building a library of educational content and experiences, delivered at the precise moment a learner needs it, effectively and engagingly. The Head of Content & Curriculum will own the education team’s content end-to-end, catering to diverse audiences (developers, consumers, enterprise admins, the general public) and formats (courses, tutorials, video, interactive experiences). A key aspect of the role is defining workflows and standards for using AI (like Claude) in content production, balancing AI acceleration with human craft to maintain quality. The goal is to create a content library that evolves in real time with Claude, offering personalized learning that scales far beyond manual production without compromising quality. The role is ideal for someone who wants to encode their craft into AI-powered systems.

Requirements

  • Genuine taste and a passion for clear, engaging explanations and courses
  • Experience leading a content, curriculum, or education function at scale, including managing leads and developing people
  • Experience leading teams through significant changes towards an audacious vision
  • Ability to build and coordinate systems across varied, cross-functional partners (product, engineering, marketing, design, agencies, subject matter experts)
  • Experience producing learning across formats (written, video, interactive) and knowing when to deploy each
  • Experience building and running technical curriculum, with the ability to at least read code and coach technical team members on teaching complex topics
  • Rigorous approach to measurement and grounding in learning science
  • Experience producing content with Claude, with intuition for AI's role in production and continuous evaluation of that line
  • Excitement for scaling one's own craft by encoding it into AI-powered systems and workflows
  • Comfort with the short shelf life of content in an evolving AI landscape, designing for durability and fast regeneration
  • A thesis about the future of teaching with adaptive AI tutors
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts clearly
  • Experience at a high-growth technology company with a fast pace and frequently shifting product and audience considerations
  • Ability to build strong relationships across many functions and teams

Nice To Haves

  • Experience teaching advanced AI/ML topics to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience building AI-assisted production workflows for content, media, or other creative work, with a point of view on human involvement and oversight
  • Experience designing interactive or adaptive learning products (e.g., tutoring systems, simulations, hands-on environments), not just linear courses

Responsibilities

  • Own the content and how well it teaches across every audience and format
  • Set and defend the quality bar for scaled education, defining "great" precisely enough for the team to hit it independently
  • Push the medium forward by designing learning that is beautiful, distinctive, interactive, and increasingly personalized, not templated courseware
  • Design and run the content production system (intake, prioritization, drafting, review, launch) at the cadence of model and product launches
  • Shape how Claude is used in production, establishing frameworks and standards for AI to accelerate output while maintaining excellence
  • Manage and develop audience leads and media designers, playing a key role in the education team’s growth and org design
  • Own learning measurement: determining how content teaches and feeding that back into content creation
  • Lead the strategy and execution for expanding reach through localization, globalization, and new audiences
