As a Head of Commercial Excellence, you will lead the shopper function and has responsibility for shopper managers on a dotted line-basis to develop and execute high-impact, multi-channel shopper marketing strategies and plans that are built from in-depth shopper insight, work in sync with retailer strategies and align to Category and brand strategies across the GB Haleon brand portfolio.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 10 years sales/category/shopper/marketing roles, managing portfolio of brands across variety of trade channels.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver brand sales, share and profit
  • Lead the Shopper Marketing function, leading the team to develop winning Shopper strategies for each of our portfolios and brands, which leverage shopper insight and align with our retailer’s needs.
  • Develop the Shopper activation plan on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis to ensure we have a winning and executable plan across customers and channels
  • Create powerful relationships with the Sales Leadership team, Controllers and key Retail Customers to understand retailer needs and to enable better, more impactful shopper solutions and activations.
  • Lead the dialogue with the global Category teams to develop fit for purpose assets and shopper toolkits, subsequently leading the shopper marketing team to deploying the toolkits to maximum effect within GB, creating high impact brand presence in relevant shopper touchpoints.
  • Agree the Shopper Insights needs/gaps and work with the teams and the SSL to enrich GB insight and understand
  • Lead the Shopper agenda through the annual commercial planning process to ensure the shopper voice is at the heart of the brand and customer plans.
  • Be the lead point of contact for the External 3rd party merchandising force developing the annual merchandising key priorities
  • Evaluate and benchmark our shopper retailer activation internally and externally to ensure we are spending money efficiently/continually improving and delivering ROI to the business
  • Build Shopper Marketing skills and capability, ensuring we are driving up our talent bench strength
