About The Position

This position oversees all of the onboarding and maintenance activities within Investment Banking and Capital Markets with Wholesale Banking Service Delivery for Institutional Fixed Income clients, Truist Securities; Institutional Equity Client clients, Truist Securities; Swap Dealer clients, Truist Bank; Foreign Exchange clients, Truist Bank; and Loan Syndicate Fund Managers, Truist Bank. The role is responsible for the client integration to Truist Securities and/Truist Bank dependent on the particular product(s) to the relationship. Additionally, client updates/maintenance as well as offboarding fall under the purview of this leader. The manager is responsible for leading the teams that onboard Institutional clients for Investment Banking and Capital Markets. Conducts Monthly Business and Operations Reviews to cover key initiatives, review of Key Performance Indicators, and business metrics with the Line of Business, GCO, partners, and Business Enablement. The manager must have strong executive presence, foresight to stay at the forefront of the risk/regulatory issues, trends in client data management, and can identify and escalate opportunities that allow enhanced risk mitigation that contribute to profitable growth across diverse portfolios.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting or related field.
10 year’s financial services experience.
Track record in motivating and building strong teams.
Effective Relationship building with different levels within the organization.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, organizational and problem-solving skills.
Strong Leadership/Project Management capabilities.
Proven experience in working in a dynamic and fast paced trading/sales environment.
In-depth knowledge of systems, trade lifecycle, and Risk framework within Capital Markets.
Knowledge of any of the following: ISDA Amend, Dodd Frank UMR rules, FINRA TRACE, MSRB, CAT, CAIS, and DTCC (and SDR).
Knowledge Swap Dealer and Foreign Exchange Operations.
Has managed onshore/offshore processes.
Proven track record managing risks and issues management and effective leadership participating in Risk Control Self-Assessments.

Nice To Haves

Master’s Degree in Business or related field.
Prior leadership role(s) that would provide related experience.
Knowledge of Broker Dealer Operations.
FINRA Licenses: S7, S24.

Responsibilities

Oversee the optimization of client integration and life cycle to Investment Banking and Capital Market products.
Develop and implement programs to support new account set-up, maintenance, and off-boarding of Investment Banking and Capital Markets Institutional Clients.
Consolidate and document client opening and maintenance operational processes and consult with other LOB managers to develop enhanced processes and automated workflow solutions.
Implement operational controls and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory and internal compliance requirements.
Oversee the strategic planning, management and execution of new technology solutions and existing technology enhancements to support assigned lending portfolios.
Oversee the selection, design and implementation of processes, systems and technologies for relevant efforts to improve our onboarding, maintenance, and off-boarding activities.
Develop and implement long and short-term strategic goals to support Investment Banking and Capital Markets strategic and revenue goals related to client on boarding, maintenance and offboarding Operations.
Leads successful business process transition including pilot programs with expansion opportunities of identified tasks across the business unit to offshore.
Is responsible for Risk Management activities ensuring Controls are being effectively executed, findings are managed in a proactive manner, have a good working relationship with the GCO partners, and manages the end-to-end process to remediate findings.
Serves as a subject matter expert and responds to questions or inquiries concerning policies, procedures, structuring, etc. from auditors, compliance, financial crimes, regulators and examiners to assist in internal reviews and external examinations. Follow up and correct any items addressed and ensure necessary changes or recommendations have been implemented as directed.
Participate and lead Monthly Business Operations Reviews with relevant line of business, peers, GCO, Business Enablement and other meetings to stay informed, collaborate and build strong partnerships in order to achieve the most effective and efficient business results.
Responsible for assigned teammates, including recruitment, retention, career development, performance management, salary administration, promotions, transfers, succession planning, training, coaching and terminations within established policies and guidelines.
Stays abreast of market issues and trends, maintains up-to-date knowledge on all client onboarding, maintenance, offboarding policies, procedures and regulations.
