About The Position

Vay is revolutionizing urban mobility by offering a car-sharing service where customers can summon a car that arrives without a driver, powered by their proprietary Remote Driving technology. The company is operational in Las Vegas and has secured significant investment. Vay's mission is to replace private car ownership with a more efficient, sustainable, and convenient mobility solution. The company has achieved significant milestones, including being the first to deploy vehicles in both Europe and the USA on public roads without a human driver, and is the second-largest commercial driverless car fleet in the Western World. They have also partnered with Kodiak to integrate their remote-driving technology into autonomous trucks. Vay is experiencing high demand and is expanding its fleet in Las Vegas, with plans for further expansion in the US and Europe. This role is crucial for scaling Vay's US commercial fleet, focusing on strategic leadership, operational design, and team management to ensure high vehicle uptime and support multi-city expansion.

Requirements

A strong operations background, ideally defining and scaling how an operation runs.
Comfort working from data to define KPIs, build reporting, and make decisions from the numbers.
Experience building partnerships with vendors, operators, or OEMs.
Experience leading a team, with an interest in developing people over time.

Nice To Haves

Fleet experience is a plus, though transferable ops experience is equally welcome.
Exposure to fast-growing or technology companies is a bonus.

Responsibilities

Define the processes, guidelines, and shift plans that keep the fleet running efficiently.
Build the metrics and reporting that make downtime visible and actionable day to day.
Partner with engineering to solve recurring issues at the source rather than patch them repeatedly.
Develop the partnerships (charging operators, repair partners, OEMs, city partners) behind multi-city expansion.
Lead and grow a team of six technicians and support engineers.
Coordinate with Commercial Operations in Las Vegas and the production team in Europe.
