About The Position

The North America C2C team plays a critical role in shaping the future of eBay’s consumer-to-consumer marketplace across the US and Canada. This team is focused on growing buyer and seller engagement, improving the customer experience, strengthening the value proposition, and driving meaningful business outcomes across one of eBay’s most important markets. We are seeking a Head of C2C Activation, North America to help drive local execution of eBay’s C2C strategy across the US and Canada. This person will partner closely with the Director of North America C2C and cross-functional teams across marketing, product, customer experience, analytics, and other key functions to turn strategy into measurable business impact. This is a highly collaborative and commercially focused role for someone who can connect customer insight, marketplace dynamics, operational execution, and strategic influence. The ideal candidate brings strong marketplace experience, sound business judgment, and the ability to build followership across partner teams in a complex, matrixed environment.

Requirements

  • 5-7 yrs+ working on strategic development projects for a complex business with a focus on delivering growth of revenue/GMV
  • 5-7yrs+ in a fast paced ecommerce business with a focus on retail/consumer marketplaces
  • Proven ability to partner effectively across a matrix, including driving change through alignment and influence
  • Able to demonstrate a track record of building followership that drives momentum across partner teams to execute complex problems.
  • Strong record of deeply engaging and understanding customers to champion their needs across a company
  • Mastery of influencing others through clear and compelling written and verbal comms
  • Operates with urgency, an intrinsic focus on making impact, and a sense of extreme ownership (especially when there is ambiguity)

Responsibilities

  • Senior contributor to the financial and operating performance of eBay’s C2C (consumer-to-consumer) marketplaces in the US and Canada
  • Lead initiatives at eBay to grow C2C share by continuously improving our offerings, free structure &, experiences through influential projects and collaboration with peer teams
  • Engage with buyers & sellers to deepen our understanding of their needs and strengthen the broader buyer & seller community
  • Partner with the Director of North America C2C to translate all go-to-market (GTM) activations into local execution within the US or Canada
  • Build trust, build influence, collaborate & coordinate with cross-functional partners (e.g. marketing, product, GCX) to drive local C2C strategy whilst aligning with the global playbook
  • Develop rigorous analysis and business cases that drive key decisions, resource allocations, and corrective actions
  • Build followership to inspire partner teams of so that we drive great customer and business results in our C2C business, while modeling eBay DNA
  • Report key business and project metrics, craft strategic narratives, and serve as a sparring partner for the Director of North America C2C
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on C2C trends across local customers and competitors
