About The Position

Teach For All is seeking a strategic AI leader developer to join their Technology & Innovation team. This role will work globally to identify and implement transformative technology solutions to accelerate the impact of their global network. The position involves working across the network with partners to identify and deliver AI-forward technology products, as well as internally to increase organizational efficiency. A key responsibility includes building and cultivating a community of technology enthusiasts within the network.

The Technology & Innovation Team provides thought-leadership, solutions, and foundational support in technology to accelerate impact. They leverage a deep understanding of the organization's needs and global best practices to deliver targeted solutions. This role will be instrumental in this effort, focusing on identifying and delivering key AI-forward technologies for network partners, such as tools for data collection, professional development, and assessment centers. Additionally, the role will identify and deliver technology solutions to enhance the global organization's impact, including improvements to learning portals and the development of new platforms for professional development and constituent feedback. An AI-forward approach will be used to increase organizational effectiveness and incorporate new tools and technologies. The role also includes managing a team of two solutions engineers and a UI/UX specialist.

Requirements

• Computer Science or related degree and/or equivalent years of formal training and experience, with a clear track record of delivering AI-forward solutions in a broad range of contexts.
• 7+ years of relevant working experience, including designing and delivering AI-powered solutions, with a proven portfolio showcasing high-impact, scalable implementations across diverse contexts.
• Strong experience with AI libraries and frameworks, as well as associated Typescript and Python skills.
• REST-based API integration experience, preferably including experience with popular Generative AI APIs and libraries.
• Proficiency in Git and other version control systems is essential, with a proven ability to effectively manage code repositories, track changes, and collaborate with team members using branching, merging, and pull request workflows.
• Ability to design easy to use and compelling user interfaces and experiences.
• Experience with Cloud Technologies, including Google Cloud.
• Comfort and experience in engaging with new technologies.
• Participation in open-source development projects and communities.
• An understanding of working with technology in bandwidth-constrained environments.
• Passion about Education, AI and Ed Tech.
• History of driving technology projects from inception to delivery.
• Strong business analyst skills, communications skills and ability to manage multiple diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Strategy Development: Build context and identify key technology solutions to accelerate impact by working across network partners and internal stakeholders, including the AI and Ed Tech Initiative team.
• Develop a responsive and evolving strategy to prioritize and develop key technologies, in close collaboration with the Technology & Innovation team and key senior stakeholders.
• Provide regular updates internally and externally on progress, and regularly revisit and modify the solutions strategy as needs change.
• Requirements Gathering, Analysis and Execution: Gather requirements for prioritized projects through stakeholder interviews and discussions, ensuring projects are accessible, inclusive, and sustainable for all network partners.
• Synthesize requirements and develop holistic solutions to meet stakeholder needs within project and budgetary constraints.
• Work individually and collaboratively with the Technology & Innovation team and external vendors to develop and deliver prioritized solutions.
• Ensure end-users are trained and supported in conjunction with the Technology & Innovation Operations team.
• Identify key metrics and measures of success, and report on them throughout project phases.
• Identify and manage key improvements through user and stakeholder interviews.
• Team Management: Lead a team of 2 within the broader Technology & Innovation team to deliver on the solutions strategy for the organization and network.
• Community Building and Management: Assist the AI and Ed Tech Initiative team in developing a community of technology enthusiasts across the network.
• Share best practices and amplify the impact of community members by working across key stakeholders internally and throughout the network.
• Involve community members in the development of technology solutions identified in the three-year strategy where possible.
• Encourage and support community-developed solutions.
