Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Minimum of five (5) years of golf coaching experience
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Knowledge of NCAA rules and compliance standards
  • Ability to mentor and motivate student-athletes
  • Proficiency in video analysis and performance technology

Nice To Haves

  • Previous Division 1 golf coaching experience

Responsibilities

  • Coach student-athletes individually and in team settings
  • Develop game strategies, techniques, and position assignments
  • Plan and conduct practices in compliance with NCAA and conference rules
  • Teach fundamentals, physical conditioning, safety, and team dynamics
  • Monitor athlete discipline, conduct, and academic/behavioral expectations
  • Ensure adherence to NCAA, conference, and university policies
  • Manage recruiting efforts and athlete evaluations
  • Coordinate team travel, scheduling, and logistics
  • Oversee program budget and equipment management
  • Lead game-day preparation activities
  • Promote the program through outreach, fundraising, marketing, and community engagement
  • Assist with hosting and managing athletic events at Tarleton State University
  • Support game operations and compliance during events
  • Perform other assigned responsibilities as needed
