Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Minimum of five (5) years of golf coaching experience
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Knowledge of NCAA rules and compliance standards
- Ability to mentor and motivate student-athletes
- Proficiency in video analysis and performance technology
Nice To Haves
- Previous Division 1 golf coaching experience
Responsibilities
- Coach student-athletes individually and in team settings
- Develop game strategies, techniques, and position assignments
- Plan and conduct practices in compliance with NCAA and conference rules
- Teach fundamentals, physical conditioning, safety, and team dynamics
- Monitor athlete discipline, conduct, and academic/behavioral expectations
- Ensure adherence to NCAA, conference, and university policies
- Manage recruiting efforts and athlete evaluations
- Coordinate team travel, scheduling, and logistics
- Oversee program budget and equipment management
- Lead game-day preparation activities
- Promote the program through outreach, fundraising, marketing, and community engagement
- Assist with hosting and managing athletic events at Tarleton State University
- Support game operations and compliance during events
- Perform other assigned responsibilities as needed
