About The Position

The YMCA of Northern Colorado is hiring a Head Lifeguard. You will serve as the friendly hawk that keeps our members safe and our aquatics team on the ball. Schedule can include up to 28 hours per week during the year and up to 40 hours per week during summers.
The salary range is $18.50-$20.25 per hour depending on experience and availability. In addition, we offer a +10% differential for bilingual staff who test as fluent in Spanish and English.

Requirements

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Current ARC/YMCA Lifeguard, First Aid, and CPR-PR Certifications.
• Current Oxygen Administration Certification.
• Blood Borne Pathogens within 30 days of being hired.
• New Staff Orientation within 30 days of being hired.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Serve as the friendly hawk that keeps our members safe and our aquatics team on the ball.
• Manage staffing and overall facility operations.
• Supervise fellow guards.
• Communicate to staff, members and program participants in a professional, positive tone.
• Handle complaints and criticism with grace and charm.
• Communicate with the aquatic's leadership about problems and concerns.
• Other duties as assigned.
