About The Position

The City of Lenexa is currently accepting applications for Head Lifeguards. This position is a great opportunity to gain customer service and teamwork skills while serving the community at the Lenexa Rec Center. The Head Lifeguard oversees the daily operation of the City’s outdoor swimming pools, including preparation, daily operation, and seasonal closure. This role is responsible for supervising and training lifeguards, ensuring safety protocols are followed, conducting maintenance checks, and maintaining accurate records.

Requirements

• Must be at least 17 years old.
• Two years of lifeguard experience, including swim lesson instruction.
• Current American Red Cross Lifeguard and First Aid/CPR/AED certifications required.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Satisfactory credit history required.
• Must pass a drug screen.
• Background check required for applicants aged 18 and older.
