About The Position
Propel Schools is seeking a Girls' Head Varsity Volleyball Coach for the 26-27 season starting this Fall at Propel Andrew Street High School/Propel Braddock Hills High School and Propel Montour High School. The 2026-2027 volleyball season is scheduled to begin on August 17th, 2026 and is anticipated to conclude in November. This position includes a seasonal stipend of $3,500, which will be prorated for coaches who begin after the official start of the season.
Requirements
- Prior Varsity or Junior Varsity coaching experience
- Up-to-date TB Test
- Act 34 Criminal Clearance
- Act 114 FBI Clearance
- Act 151 Child Abuse Clearance
- Mandated Reporter Training
Nice To Haves
- Experience as a head coach
- Playing experience
- Demonstrated ability to build a successful program starting at the varsity level
- High level of personal organization and planning
- Strong communication and relationship building skills
- A commitment to the Promising Principles of Propel
Responsibilities
- Responsibility for assembling his/her coaching staff
- Experience coordinating the Varsity program with the assistant coach and athletic director
- Experience implementing off-season programs in accordance with WPIAL/PIAA regulations
- Willingness and ability to attend all required PIAA preseason coaching meetings and mandatory coaching certification/trainings in compliance with PIAA regulations
- Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development
