About The Position
Propel Schools is seeking a Girls' Head Varsity Volleyball Coach for the 26-27 season starting this Fall at Propel Andrew Street High School/Propel Braddock Hills High School and Propel Montour High School. The 2026-2027 volleyball season is scheduled to begin on August 17th, 2026 and is anticipated to conclude in November, though the season may end earlier if the team participates in postseason. This position includes a seasonal stipend of $3,500, which will be prorated for coaches who begin after the official start of the season.
Requirements
- Up-to-date TB Test
- Act 34 Criminal Clearance
- Act 114 FBI Clearance
- Act 151 Child Abuse Clearance
- Mandated Reporter Training
- Prior Varsity or Junior Varsity coaching experience
- High level of personal organization and planning
- Strong communication and relationship building skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience as a head coach
- Playing experience
- Demonstrated ability to build a successful program starting at the varsity level
Responsibilities
- Assembling his/her coaching staff
- Experience coordinating the Varsity program with the assistant coach and athletic director
- Implementing off-season programs in accordance with WPIAL/PIAA regulations
- Attending all required PIAA preseason coaching meetings and mandatory coaching certification/trainings in compliance with PIAA regulations
- Participating in ongoing professional development
- Committing to the Promising Principles of Propel
