The Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village (UCHV) is an open-air museum that that provides an interactive exploration of early Alberta settlement history by delivering true-to-life visitor experiences and educational programs based on the Ukrainian settlement experience. More than 35 historic buildings have been relocated from east central Alberta to the site to illustrate the 1892-1930 period. Costumed interpreters portray real people who once lived in the region, allowing visitors to travel back in time to learn about the region’s history, people, and culture. The Head of External Relations and Events provides strategic leadership for stakeholder engagement, marketing and communications, special events, volunteer resources, and revenue-generating programs at the Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village (UCHV). This role fosters meaningful partnerships, promotes public awareness, and delivers engaging experiences that support visitation, revenue growth, and the preservation of Alberta's Ukrainian heritage. Reporting to the UCHV Director, the position also supervises the Group Bookings and Corporate Sales area, which is a key source of revenue with year-round bookings and sales. The Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village is renowned for its extensive research and accurate portrayal of Ukrainian settlement in Alberta, particularly within east-central Alberta. This position will ensure that content; programs and events align with this mandate.
