The Head Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and well-functioning school facility that supports student learning and daily campus operations. Reporting to the principal or campus administrator, the Head Custodian oversees daily custodial operations, performs routine cleaning and maintenance tasks, and ensures that school facilities meet cleanliness and safety standards. Head custodians provide light supervision and coordination of other custodial staff. The Head Custodian plays an important role in creating a welcoming environment for students, staff, and families by ensuring that classrooms, common areas, and outdoor spaces are clean, organized, and properly maintained. This role requires a dependable, detail-oriented individual who can manage multiple tasks, respond to facility needs, and support the overall operations of the campus.
