About The Position
Under the direction of the Site Principal and Custodial Supervisor, the Head Custodian leads, plans, organizes, monitors, and schedules custodial services and performs custodial activities at an assigned school site during a night shift. The role maintains the school's general cleanliness and keeps buildings and adjacent grounds areas clean, orderly, and secure. It also involves arranging and moving furniture and equipment, monitoring school grounds for security, and training and providing work direction to assigned staff. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., with a 30-minute paid lunch. The position is at Santa Cruz High School.
Requirements
- Any combination equivalent to graduation from high school and three years of custodial work experience.
- Valid Class C California Driver's License.
- Letter of Introduction.

Responsibilities
- Lead, plan, organize, monitor, and schedule custodial services at an assigned school site.
- Perform custodial activities during a night shift.
- Maintain the general cleanliness of the school.
- Keep buildings and adjacent grounds areas clean, orderly, and secure as assigned.
- Set up, move, and arrange tables, chairs, and equipment in classrooms, offices, and meeting rooms.
- Monitor school grounds to assure site security.
- Train and provide work direction to assigned staff.
