About The Position

Ensures an attractive, sanitary and safe environment for students, staff and visitors. Oversees and supports assigned custodians in the performance of their assignments.

Requirements

Must have 2 years of professional cleaning experience in a public service institution.
Graduation from high school (or G.E.D.).
Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
Ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate or assemble objects.
Ability to exert yourself physically over long periods of time.
Ability to quickly and repeatedly bend, stretch, twist or reach out with your body, arms and/or legs.
Must be a U.S. citizen or have the legal right to work in the United States at time of application.

Nice To Haves

Applicants appearing on the Promotional eligible list shall be considered for appointment prior to those on the Open Competitive list.
Open Competitive applicants who have had military service will receive an additional credit of 20% if a passing grade is attained.
Current employment with Dayton Public Schools must be indicated on your application in order to receive promotional credit.
