About The Position

This position is responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks in assigned school buildings and grounds to ensure a safe, clean, and efficient environment. The Head Custodian I will oversee and participate in the daily cleaning, maintenance, and minor repair of school facilities. This role involves supervising custodial staff, managing supplies, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. The position requires a 12-month work schedule with 8 hours per day.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Minimum of two (2) years of custodial or maintenance experience.
Valid Nevada driver's license.
Ability to read, understand, and follow oral and written instructions.
Ability to perform heavy physical labor.
Knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment.
Knowledge of basic maintenance and repair procedures.
Ability to supervise and train subordinate staff.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, students, and the public.
Must be able to pass a background check.

Nice To Haves

Experience in a school or institutional setting.
Vocational training in building maintenance or a related field.
First Aid and CPR certification.
