About The Position

Menahga Public Schools is looking for a Head Cook to lead our kitchen team and serve up meals our students look forward to. You'll run the daily operation of our school kitchen — planning production, preparing and serving breakfast and lunch, and leading a small team that takes pride in feeding kids well. You'll keep our kitchen safe, clean, and organized, manage inventory, and make sure meals meet USDA and state nutrition standards. Most importantly, you'll help create a cafeteria where students feel welcome.

Requirements

• Experience cooking for large groups
• Strong organization
• Team-first attitude
• Ability to obtain food safety certification
• Comfort with the physical side of kitchen work — standing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and keeping pace during busy service
