About The Position

Chattanooga Prep Athletics is seeking a dedicated head coach for its high school boys’ soccer program. The coach will develop student-athletes on the field and support their growth in the classroom. The role calls for setting clear expectations, building positive relationships, and modeling accountability, sportsmanship, and professionalism.

The coach will plan practices and game preparation, teach soccer fundamentals and strategy, and build a disciplined, positive team culture. The coach will also prioritize academics, communicate with students and families, follow applicable policies, support player safety, and coordinate assigned program responsibilities with the athletic department.

Requirements

• Ability to mentor high school students and support academic and athletic development.
• Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.
• Availability for practices, games, travel, and meetings.
• Ability to complete required background screenings, coaching credentials, and safety training before coaching.

Nice To Haves

• Soccer coaching or competitive playing experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of soccer.

Responsibilities

• Plan and support purposeful practices, player development, and game preparation appropriate to the coaching role.
• Teach soccer fundamentals and strategy while building a disciplined, positive team culture.
• Prioritize academics, monitor student-athlete progress, and reinforce CP Athletics participation expectations.
• Communicate consistently with student-athletes, families, school staff, and the Director of Athletics.
• Follow school, athletic department, and applicable TSSAA policies and procedures.
• Maintain appropriate supervision and support player safety and emergency preparedness.
• Coordinate assigned scheduling, travel, equipment, and program responsibilities with the athletic department.
