About The Position

Westminster University is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Head Women's Soccer Coach for the Women’s Soccer program. Reporting to the Director of Athletics, this role is responsible for the comprehensive leadership and management of the Women's Soccer program — from recruiting and developing talented student-athletes to building a culture of excellence both on the field and in the classroom. The ideal candidate is a proven coach and mentor who brings strong organizational skills, a commitment to compliance, and a genuine passion for student-athlete development. This position plays a key role in advancing intercollegiate athletics as an integral part of the Westminster University experience, in alignment with the University's mission, vision, and values — including a deep commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Westminster University is a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA II) and the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Demonstrate a record of success in coaching basketball and recruiting student athletes at the collegiate level preferred.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Effective motivational skills.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and public relation communication skills.
  • Ability to create a positive atmosphere conducive to learning.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment with high standards and goals.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree.
  • Periodic overnight travel may be required.
  • Regular travel throughout the year and/or at specified times of the year will be required.
  • Extended hours, including evenings and weekends will be required.
  • Ability to respond toon-call as assigned, including evenings and weekends is required.
  • Valid driver’s license and successful DMV check required.
  • Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch required.
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds is required.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds required.

Responsibilities

  • Recruitment and retention of qualified student athletes.
  • Supervise and hire assistant(s).
  • Budgeting, scheduling, and travel arrangements.
  • Organize and supervise practices.
  • Event management assistance.
  • Order and maintain all equipment.
  • Compliance with institutional, conference and national governing regulations.
  • Assist with fundraising and outreach efforts for the program.
  • Student-athlete mentoring and welfare.
  • Work closely with other staff to promote intercollegiate athletics as an integral part of the University learning environment and support the academic success of student-athletes.
  • Perform all responsibilities with the highest ethical standards consistent with the University’s mission, vision and values which include diversity, equity and inclusion.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Maintain knowledge of and comply with NCAA rules and regulations
  • Follow all institutional, conference, and NCAA regulations
  • NCAA violations may result in disciplinary action
  • Must attend required meetings and trainings associated with compliance duties
  • Perform all responsibilities with the highest ethical standards consistent with the University’s mission, vision and values which include diversity, equityand inclusion
  • Schedule outside normal business hours.
  • This position requires an irregular work schedule including days, nights, weekends and travel.
