About The Position

Liberty High School is seeking a Head Coach for the Boys Varsity Soccer program. This position involves leading the team, ensuring adherence to rules, and fostering a positive team environment. The coach will be responsible for various administrative and coaching duties related to the sport.

Requirements

Certificate verifying completion of the NFHS online "Fundamentals of Coaching" course, or approved equivalent (AIA Rule 17.1).
Certificate verifying completion of the NFHS online "Concussion in Sports ï¿½ What You Need to Know" course (AIA Rule 17.1).
An Arizona Teaching Certificate OR an Arizona Coaching Certificate OR a certificate verifying completion sport specific course (AIA Rule 17.1.2).
Current Certification in CPR and First Aid.
Knowledge of essential skills, techniques, rules, and safety concerns for the sport.
Skill in communicating with all stakeholders.
Knowledge necessary to adhere to rules set out by AIA (www.aiaonline.org) and Peoria Unified School District #11.
Must possess or obtain an Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
Must be able to pass a background clearance check.
Must be able to obtain and maintain an Arizona driver's license.

Responsibilities

Lead the Boys Varsity Soccer team.
Ensure adherence to rules set by AIA and Peoria Unified School District.
Communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
Utilize online platforms required for specific sports like MaxPreps, HUDL, and others.
Establish a sense of camaraderie among players through teambuilding, fundraising, and service projects.
Attend mandatory school district and AIA meetings.
Potentially drive students to and from competitions.
