About The Position

The College of Lake County is seeking a Head Men's & Women's Bowling Coach to manage and administer all phases of the men's and women's bowling program. The coach is responsible for upholding the philosophy and objectives of the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and complying with department policies and procedures, as well as the rules and regulations of the College, Great Lakes Bowling Conference, USBC, and NJCAA.

The role includes recruiting student-athletes, conducting practices off campus at Lakeside Bowling and Recreation Center, organizing off-season workouts and tournament schedules, arranging travel, fundraising, and supporting student-athletes' academic success. The coach performs other duties assigned by the Athletic Director. This is a part-time faculty position of 20 hours per week, compensated with a $9,005 stipend.

Requirements

• Experience as a successful coach.
• Strong communication skills.
• Knowledge of USBC bylaws.
• Technical knowledge of bowling.
• Strong desire to recruit a full and competitive roster.
• Valid driver's license.

• Demonstrated experience as an effective recruiter.
• Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency.

• Conduct practices off campus at Lakeside Bowling and Recreation Center.
• Organize off-season workouts.
• Schedule tournaments and arrange travel.
• Conduct fundraising.
• Champion student-athletes' academic success.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Athletic Director.
