About The Position

The Arbour is an upcoming private members' club opening in St. George's Bat, Malta in October 2026. Developed by db Group with industry expert Jamie Caring, it aims to offer seasonal Mediterranean cuisine, a cocktail lab, cultural programming, and a community space for the island. As part of our team at Lifestyle Group, you’ll assist in delivering exceptional service at some of Malta’s most iconic and diverse restaurant brands, several of which are featured in the Michelin Guide. Responsibilities

  • Lead the kitchen team in delivering high-quality food, ensuring a consistently exceptional dining experience for guests.
  • Oversee the preparation, cooking, and presentation of all dishes, ensuring adherence to established recipes, presentation standards, and quality expectations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment, ensuring all areas are properly stocked, sanitized, and ready for service.
  • Delegate the kitchen's setup and breakdown before and after service, ensuring all equipment, tools, and ingredients are in place and properly maintained.
  • Oversee the procurement and management of ingredients, ensuring freshness, quality, and effective stock control to minimize waste.
  • Liaise with management on menu planning, ensuring the creation of innovative and seasonal dishes that align with the restaurant's concept and customer preferences.
  • Maintain & foster training programs for Senior Chefs to carry out
  • Encourage professional growth and maintaining high culinary standards across the team.
  • Committing the upmost attention & important to Site Allergen Procedure
  • Work closely with the front-of-house team, providing guidance on menu items and ensuring seamless coordination between kitchen and service.
  • Set up, review & maintain Food Hygiene Policy in the business ensuring compliance with proper food handling, storage, and hygiene practices.
  • Assist in the recruitment and onboarding of new kitchen staff, providing training and support to integrate them into the kitchen team.
  • Commit to ongoing professional development, staying updated on culinary trends, techniques, and best practices to continually elevate the kitchen's offerings.
