Head Cashier coordinate, manage and oversee the administrative and operational activities of the cashier department. As a department manager, you’ll have the following responsibilities: Promote the store’s strategy and vision to achieve corporate objectives Support the management team and supervise your staff to keep your department clean and ready for business Make sure your team is focused on delivering exceptional customer service and building customer loyalty Develop and strengthen cashier team skills by coaching employees on excellent customer service, effective point-of-sale selling techniques, and the proper use of company programs and tools. Identify opportunities for improvement and propose creative initiatives to enhance the checkout experience, improve operational efficiency, and drive additional sales at the cash register. Communicate effectively to provide the information needed to support operations. Train employees and make sure they’re applying the different BMR programs. Promote and maintain a safe, healthy workplace by enforcing established protocols. Perform other duties as assigned and determined by the supervisor.
