About The Position

The Head Teller is responsible for processing all transactions accurately and efficiently in accordance with established policies and procedures. This role is a go-to staff member working alongside bank staff and plays a fundamental role in achieving our customer satisfaction and revenue growth objectives. Requires ability to work at a fast pace, making dozens of transactions daily, communicating with different types of clients and selling bank products/services, with a strong history of customer service. Position is located in Cheyenne and is not a remote position.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or greater required.
  • 2+ years of experience in a bank teller role preferred.
  • Experience handling cash transactions and working with systems.
  • Experience providing excellent customer service.
  • Candidate must pass a pre-employment screening including credit history and criminal record check.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as team lead to resolve escalated transactions or concerns and finds the best solution for both the customer and Bank.
  • Conducts multiple routine bank transactions within time limits and established guidelines (cash checks, accept deposits and loan payments, process withdrawals, etc.).
  • Assesses customer needs and introduces new products and services (credit cards, saving bonds, etc.).
  • Makes sales referrals, suggests alternate channels and cross-sells products and services.
  • Goes the “extra mile” to build trusting relationships, customer loyalty and satisfaction.
  • Complies with regulatory requirements.
  • Manages risk in every transaction and detects fraudulent transactions to prevent losses.
  • Resolves customer issues and provides relevant information.
  • Other duties as assigned.
